This job vacancy is for full-time & in-house expert cooks and chefs (specialties in Maharshtrian, Rajasthani, Gujrati, South Indian, Uttar Pradesh, & Bihari Cuisine). Total number of open positions are ten (10). Please see the description given below.

Job Profile:

– Cook/ prepare food for Ashram guests from all over India and abroad.
– Cook/ prepare food Ashram staff and volunteers as per fixed daily menu.
– Cook/ prepare food in large quantities for Ashram residents as per fixed daily menu for different wings.
– Cook/ prepare food in large quantities for special children in Ashram school.
– Arrangement and serving of food to Ashram guests.
– Proper storage and safekeep of food preparation ingredients in hygienic condition.
– Select & purchase food preparation ingredients in large quantities from local markets.
– Other Ashram work related to job profile.

Qualification (Must Have):

– Candidate must be well mannered and soft spoken.
– Candidate must have experience of cooking different vegetarian cuisines.
– Candidate must have minimum 5 years work experience in an organization.
– Candidate must have excellent knowledge of food preparation ingredients.
– Candidate must be 12th Pass or Graduate.
– Candidate must strictly be vegetarian in food choices and must be non-alcoholic.
– Candidate must strictly be non-smoker and should not have habit of chewing tobacco.

Qualification (Optional):

– Knowledge of diet and nutrition of different age groups.
– Knowledge of food preparation machines for large quantities.
– Certification related to job role. Eg. ITI in Craftsman Food Production (Vegetarian).

Salary & Perks:

– Salary will be between 10,000 Rs – 50,000 Rs per month basis qualification & experience.
– Lodging & accommodation is included and will be provided within Ashram.
– Food is included and will be provided within Ashram.
– Relocation support will be provided to candidates from outside Madhya Pradesh.

About ‘Anktgram’ Sewadham Ashram

“Ankitgram” is located 15 kilometres from Mahakal Temple and in outskirts of Ujjain City on Panchkoshi Marg. It is spread over 25 acres (41 Bigha) inside Mahakal Van (Forest) and is located at serene and picturesque location on the banks of Gambira River (near Gambhir Dam Reservoir) next to Bilwakeshwar Mahadev Temple which is one of 84 Mahadev Temples of Ujjain. This area, which is also called Tapovan, and where sages have been doing Tapasya since ancient times is the Karmbhoomi (place of work) of “Ankitgram”. Ashram is currently spread along the reservoir lake of Gambhir Dam and has 25+ buldings with segregation for housing and offices for it’s guests and administrative staff… and shelter, clinic & school buildings for 700+ residents receiving care here.
