About Ankitgram
“Ankitgram” Sewadham Ashram, a nationally and internationally known inter-faith non-partisan voluntary organization, is a lifetime shelter and rehabilitation center with due love, care and compassion for the homeless, helpless, differently able, mentally ill, dying and destitute people coming from across the nation without any discrimination of caste, creed, region, age and gender. Married, unmarried mothers, including mentally ill pregnant women also find safe shelter and care here. Most of the residents here are those who are suffering from chronic or terminal illnesses.
It is a non-partisan, voluntary organization running exclusively on public support. Ever since 1989, Ankitgram has been a home for people who were abandoned by their families or their individual societies at large.
Established by Shri Sudhir Bhai Goyal “Bhai Ji” on January 26th, 1989, “Ankitgram” Sewadham Ashram is the main unit of Ujjaini Senior Citizen’s Forum (USCF). “Ankitgram” Sewadham Ashram was founded on the principle of “Manav Sewa – Madhav Sewa” i.e. Service to Humanity is Service to God. Sewadham’s Logo highlights the Concept of – Sewa (service), Shiksha (education), Swasthya (health), Swawlamban (self-dependence), Sadbhav (communal harmony) with environment protection.
Sudhir Bhai Goyal, Founder – Director and sole architect of Ashram, is a humanitarian visionary, who could have enjoyed the comforts and luxuries provided by his ample inheritance as a businessman, however chose a life dedicated to serving the needy since the age of 13. The journey started with just around 5.6 acres of land that he donated to the ashram and a resolve to do something for the underprivileged and the suffering.

Founder Sudhir Bhai Ji

Sudhir Bhai Ji has been involved in social service since 1970 (from the age of 13) when he started a school at village Ajnoti near Indore in Madhya Pradesh and has since been working tirelessly to serve humanity.

Renamed in memory of his only son Master Ankit, who Bhai Ji lost at tender age of Seven, Sewadham Ashram was established in 1989 to provide lifetime shelter to dying and destitute people with immense love, care and compassion.

Bhai Ji’s humanitarian work has been admired and acclaimed by renowned personalities nationally and internationally like Baba Amte, Mother Teresa, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Cabinet Ministers, Loksabha Speakers, Governors and Cheif Ministers of Different States.
He has received numerous awards like Vayoshreshta, Godfrey Philips and Maharshi Dadhichi Award.
Ankitgram Wings
Didwania (Ratanlal) Avedna Kendra – Sewadham. The Hospice Center aimed at providing proper care for mentally ill, dying and destitute people suffering from chronic or terminal diseases where they can breathe their last in peace. The Center can accommodate 200 (100 kids, 50 male and 50 females) suffering people.
Children Home – Balgrah (Orphaned, differently abled, suffering from MR / CP / Autistic / Multiple Disabilities and even completely bedridden) – separate homes for boys and girls. Presently providing services to 125+ kids.
