Dr. Bhatnagar holds a Doctorate in Philosophy, Computer Science, and Engineering, and has completed the Global Program for Management Development from Michigan Ross School of Business, USA. He also earned a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from the Institute of Management and Technology, Ghaziabad, following his undergraduate studies in Electronics (B.Sc Hons.) from Delhi University.

With over two decades of experience in the information technology industry, Dr. Bhatnagar has consistently delivered sustainable revenue growth, particularly in the IoT and Smart City domains across both mature and emerging markets. As the President of Aeris India, a leading Silicon Valley-based IoT company, he spearheads the business in the Indian subcontinent, MEA, and APAC regions. His leadership has been instrumental in enabling companies, governments, startups, and entrepreneurs to adopt and leverage IoT services through comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.

Before his tenure at Aeris, Dr. Bhatnagar served in various senior roles at Tech Mahindra, one of India’s top IT services companies. As the Global Head for Digital Enterprise Services, he significantly expanded the Digital & IoT business, growing it to 10% of the company's total revenue by 2015. Additionally, he led European Sales and Business Operations for the Telecom Business, achieving a remarkable 60% growth over two years.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bhatnagar has been at the forefront of launching new initiatives, establishing businesses in new regions, and managing relationships with Fortune 500 companies across industries such as Telecom, BFSI, Healthcare, and the Public sector.
