In the realm of humanitarian efforts, the story of Avantika stands as a poignant example of transformation, dedication, and the profound impact of compassionate care. Found as an infant in a field in Ghatiya Block on January 26, 2006, Avantika’s journey from vulnerability to empowerment is a remarkable testament to the mission and values of Ankitgram Sewadham Ashram.

A New Beginning
When Avantika was discovered, she was in a dire condition, abandoned and in need of immediate care. The villagers, recognising her plight, brought her to Ankitgram Sewadham Ashram, where she was embraced with open arms and hearts. The ashram, led by Sudhir Bhai and Kanta Ji, took her in as their own, providing not only the physical care she desperately needed but also the emotional support crucial for her development.

Nurturing a Future
Avantika’s early years were marked by significant challenges. At the age of eight, she was diagnosed with a 54% intellectual disability. Despite this, the ashram’s environment of love and support proved to be a nurturing ground for her growth. Sudhir Bhai, who became her father figure, and Kanta Ji, her mother figure, played pivotal roles in her upbringing. They provided her with a sense of belonging and purpose, fostering her development in an environment that emphasized education, care, and love.
With no biological family stepping forward to claim her, the Baal Kalyan Samiti officially declared Avantika as free and legally entrusted her to the ashram.

A Role Model of Service
As Avantika reached adulthood, her commitment to the ashram’s values became evident. Now over 18, she has taken on the crucial role of managing the children’s ward, which includes caring for disabled children. Her dedication to the well-being of these children reflects her personal journey of receiving care and now giving back in kind.

Avantika’s contributions extend beyond caregiving. She has excelled in advanced yoga and dance, performing at cultural events across Ujjain, Mumbai, Goa, and Bhopal. Her talents not only highlight her personal achievements but also serve to inspire and engage others in the ashram’s mission.

Personal and Professional Growth
In a significant development, Avantika has expressed her wish to marry a boy from the ashram. This decision has been supported by Sudhir Bhai, and arrangements will be made once they reach the appropriate legal age. Her commitment to a life of service within the ashram underscores her deep connection to the institution that has been her home and family.

A Legacy of Compassion
Avantika’s story is a powerful affirmation of the principles that guide Ankitgram Sewadham Ashram. Her transformation from a helpless infant to a respected volunteer and caregiver exemplifies the impact of unwavering dedication and the nurturing environment provided by the ashram’s leaders, Sudhir Bhai and Kanta Ji.
As Sadguru Ranchoddasji Maharaj eloquently states, “Intention to serve is always successful because God wants us to do that.” Avantika’s life is a living embodiment of this truth, demonstrating that with the right intentions and support, even the most challenging circumstances can lead to extraordinary outcomes.

Avantika’s journey is not just a personal triumph but also a beacon of hope and inspiration for others. Her story stands as a testament to the transformative power of compassion and the profound difference that a dedicated community can make in the lives of individuals and the broader society.
